Welcome To The Peaceful Pantry

Welcome to The Peaceful Pantry. My goal for this blog is to show just how easy it is to make delicious, budget-friendly vegan food. Whether you’re a full-fledged vegan, a vegetarian, or just someone interested in adding a few vegan meals to your diet, you’re welcome here. This is not a place for judgment, or for having heated discussions. It’s a place for people who enjoy good food that also happens to be vegan.

For the time being, I’ll be posting pictures and recipes much like I have been doing on my other blog, Happy Introvert. But once I get a few kinks worked out, my plan is to take the guesswork and intimidation out of vegan meal planning by posting a weekly meal plan and a grocery list that you can follow and adapt to your lifestyle. Throughout the week, I’ll write about, and post pictures of, each meal as I make it along with you. I also plan on including pages that offer guidance for keeping your pantry stocked with vegan staples, as well as helpful resources for finding recipes.

Since becoming a vegan nearly three years ago, I have discovered my passion for cooking and for writing about food. I hope this blog will offer you some inspiration for creating delicious vegan meals at home.

  1. hey, girl! loving the Peaceful Pantry! now that i am back on solid ground, i can poke around a bit. is that picture of your actual pantry? i’m jealous! i am temporarily living with my meat-eating parents, who are very supportive of my diet but still make the occasional remark like “don’t you want meatballs on your spaghetti?” ugh. anyhew, the new blog is gorgeous and i can wait to start cooking some of the recipes! xoxo

      I love your new blog! My husband and I have been wanting to take a beach vacation, but when it comes to Florida, we have no idea where to go that’s not super touristy. We’ll definitely look to your blog!

      And oh gosh, I wish that was my pantry. Trust me, you don’t want to see what my real pantry looks like! It’s a small closet with only one shelf. It drives me crazy! But the blog is still a work in progress, and I haven’t really started doing the meal planning part yet, but it’s coming along.

      I can totally relate to your parents’ remarks. In the same breath, my parents will say that they think being vegan is a good thing, while also getting mad at me when I say I can’t eat something because it has ________ (insert: milk, eggs, butter, etc.). *sigh* Oh well.

      Anyway, it’s good to hear from you! I’m looking forward to sharing recipes now that you’re on solid ground.
